He<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> works at Semmelweis University, <\/span><b>Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Therapy.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Since 2014, Dr K\u00e1llai has played a key role in undergraduate education in intensive therapy and anesthesiology, teaching in Hungarian, English, and German and as part of the department\u2019s Education Board. He also participates in several postgraduate courses as a trainer, including the <\/span><b>Cadaveric Airway School<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In 2024, he earned his PhD with a thesis titled <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cA Flow Cytometry-Based Rapid Method for Determining Bacterial Antibiotic Resistance Profiles.\u201d<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> The following year, he obtained the European Diploma in Advanced Critical Care Echocardiography.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Dr K\u00e1llai\u2019s <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">main areas of interest and research include airway management in critically ill patients, intensive care echocardiography, and haemostasis. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">With his colleagues, he is currently developing a novel protocol for individualised, viscoelastometry-guided, echocardiography-controlled thrombolytic therapy for pulmonary embolism.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Andr\u00e1s K\u00e1llai (MD, PhD) earned his specialist qualification in anesthesiology and intensive therapy in 2010.
