Els\u0151k\u00e9nt \u00edrt\u00e1k le az IL-20 alcsal\u00e1d kr\u00f3nikus veseel\u00e9gtelens\u00e9gben, gyullad\u00e1sos b\u00e9lbetegs\u00e9gekben, illetve c\u00f6li\u00e1ki\u00e1ban megfigyelhet\u0151 k\u00f3ros sz\u00f6veti \u00e1t\u00e9p\u00fcl\u00e9s folyamat\u00e1ban bet\u00f6lt\u00f6tt szerep\u00e9t. A kapcsol\u00f3d\u00f3 eredm\u00e9nyek tudom\u00e1nyos publik\u00e1ci\u00f3k form\u00e1j\u00e1ban jelentek meg rangos nemzetk\u00f6zi foly\u00f3iratokban.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Az oxidat\u00edv stressz fontos szerepet j\u00e1tszik a kr\u00f3nikus gyullad\u00e1ssal j\u00e1r\u00f3 betegs\u00e9gek sor\u00e1n megfigyelhet\u0151 sz\u00f6veti k\u00e1rosod\u00e1s folyamat\u00e1ban, mely gyakran az \u00e9rtintett sz\u00f6vet hegesed\u00e9s\u00e9hez vezet. A kutat\u00f3csoport nemzetk\u00f6zi k\u00f6zlem\u00e9nyekben ismertette eredm\u00e9nyeit a PARK7 feh\u00e9rje protekt\u00edv,\u00a0 antioxid\u00e1ns \u00e9s immunmodul\u00e1ns szerep\u00e9r\u0151l a gyermekkori gyullad\u00e1sos b\u00e9lbetegs\u00e9g \u00e9s c\u00f6li\u00e1kia kapcs\u00e1n.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">A kutat\u00f3csoport jelenleg az eredet\u0171 extracellul\u00e1ris vezikul\u00e1knak a sz\u00f6veti hegesed\u00e9s patomechanizmus\u00e1ban bet\u00f6lt\u00f6tt szerep\u00e9t vizsg\u00e1lja. It is estimated that these diseases are the leading cause of morbidity and mortality in the western world, with nearly half of all deaths are attributed to organ fibrosis. Despite the unmet medical need, there is still no effective therapy to inhibit or reverse renal fibrosis. Therefore, research in this area has not only a scientific impact, but has also important implications on general health and health care systems.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The research group investigated the effect of the interleukin (IL)-20 cytokine subfamily including IL-19, IL-20 and IL-24 in the pathomechanism of tissue scarring. Their findings were the first to demonstrate the role of the IL-20 subfamily in the fibrotic processes of chronic renal failure, inflammatory bowel diseases and coeliac disease. The related results have been published in the form of research articles in prestigious international journals.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Oxidative stress plays an important role in the process of tissue damage observed in chronic inflammatory diseases, often leading to scarring of the affected tissue. The research group has presented their findings on the protective, antioxidant and immunomodulatory role of the PARK7 protein in pediatric inflammatory bowel disease and celiac disease in international publications.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The current focus of the research group is to investigate the role of extracellular vesicles in the pathomechanism of tissue fibrosis.
