Therefore, the new publication schedule for EuroMeds in 2018 will be the following:<b><\/b><\/div>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<div>Spring Assembly 2018 Assembly Edition (Published at SA2018)<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>EuroMeds Online Summer Issue<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Autumn Assembly 2018 Assembly Edition<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>EuroMeds Online Winter Issue<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<div>It is a great honor to announce that EuroMeds Summer Issue 2018 will feature 2 distinct themes! First theme of the magazine is Immunization and Vaccines, in collaboration with Public Health Pillar. We are pleased to inform EuroMeds enthusiasts that second theme of the issue Interprofessional Collaboration will be covered in collaboration with European Healthcare Students\u2019 Associations\u2019 Summit. (EHSAS)<b><\/b><\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>We are waiting for the inputs of all EMSAi\u2019s on this very first Summer Issue of EuroMeds covering topics that are very critical for overall health and medical education across Europe.<b><\/b><\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>If you are interested in Immunization and Vaccines or Interprofessional Collaboration and would like to inspire other EMSAi\u2019s regarding these topics, please send your article OR artwork (photographs, sketches, comics, drawing, etc.), to <a href=\"mailto:euromeds@emsa-europe.eu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">euromeds@emsa-europe.eu<\/a> including your full name, the name and faculty of your university, the year of your studies and your contact information UNTIL <span class=\"aBn\"><span class=\"aQJ\">08.06.2018 23.59 pm CET<\/span><\/span>.<b><\/b><\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>Background information on themes and several suggested subtopics to work on can be found below:<b><\/b><\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div><strong>Theme #1: Immunization and Vaccines (in collaboration with the Public Health Pillar)<\/strong><b><\/b><\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>Overwhelming evidence demonstrates the benefits of immunization as one of the most successful and cost-effective health interventions known. Over the past several decades, immunization has achieved many things, including the eradication of smallpox, an accomplishment that has been called one of humanity\u2019s greatest triumphs. Vaccines have saved countless lives, lowered the global incidence of polio by 99 percent and reduced illness, disabilities and death from from diseases such as diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough, measles, Haemophilus influenzae type B, and epidemic meningococcal A meningitis.<b><\/b><\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>EMSA aims to raise awareness on current health issues and threats across Europe. By following the latest achievements in the field of vaccinology, medical students can get better informed of the critical role of vaccines easing people from the economical, social, and mortal burdens of many diseases in a practical and cost effective way.<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>Are you interested in contributing to EuroMeds Summer issue by submitting an article dedicated to the theme Immunization and Vaccines? This collaborative practice strengthens health systems and improves health outcomes.<b><\/b><\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>A base for successful interprofessional collaboration is interprofessional education (IPE), that helps future health professionals to perceive the importance of collaborative practices; once students understand how to work interprofessionally, they are ready to enter the workplace as a member of the collaborative practice team and this is a key step in moving health systems from fragmentation to a position of strength.<b><\/b><\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>Are you interested in submitting an article to EuroMeds Summer Issue on Interprofessional Collaboration?
