Please make sure to read the information carefully and disseminate it across your networks.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"><strong>Where?&nbsp;<\/strong>Interns will work at the headquarters of the World Federation for Medical Education, in&nbsp;<strong>Ferney-Voltaire, France&nbsp;<\/strong>(20 minutes from Geneva, Switzerland).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"><strong>When?&nbsp;<\/strong>Participants can currently apply for:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Winter period (January 1 \u2013 March 31) \u2192 1 position available<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Spring period (April 1 \u2013 June 30) \u2192 1 position available<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">What is provided for the chosen intern?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">The WFME will provide all interns with:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">800EUR monthly stipend (or 500EUR for students who find external funding, like Erasmus)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Free airplane transportation from the intern\u2019s country of origin to Ferney-Voltaire, up to 750EUR<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Interns will be responsible for all other expenses (accommodation, food, additional transportation fees), and are encouraged to find other sources of funding.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Who should apply?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Key skills and attributes:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Commitment to enhancing the quality of information around medical education programmes<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Knowledge and familiarity with the use of databases\/excel and an excellent ability to work independently<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">General computer skills<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Comfortable working with people from different countries<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Oral and written communication skills<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Speaking English and at least one other language<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">We expect all interns to be committed, well-organized and hard-working, which includes being available and present at the WFME office during the intern period. Any absences have to be arranged with the WFME supervisor.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">What are the tasks required by the intern?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">This internship is opened for a medical student to join the WFME office for a 3 month period and support the development of the World Directory of Medical Schools. The intern is expected to participate in:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Shared management of the medical school records hosted within the World Directory of Medical Schools,&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.wdoms.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">wdoms.org<\/a><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">External electronic and telephone communications, including through IFMSA networks and sourcing and establishing new contacts<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Developing and maintaining close working with other international organizations including FAIMER (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.faimer.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.faimer.org<\/a>) and the World Medical Association (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.wma.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.wma.net<\/a>)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Monitoring and reporting on own work output in line with organizational objectives<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Other duties as may reasonably be required by the President and senior colleagues<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Filling in the report after completion of the internship<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">How to apply?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">There are two steps to applying.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Send a CV (maximum two pages) and letter of motivation (maximum one page) to \u201c<a href=\"mailto:lme@ifmsa.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">lme@ifmsa.org<\/a>\u201d.
