(See attached) If the candidate is the NMO President the confirmation must be signed by a suitable alternative NMO board member.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Note: Please write in the Candidature Form the position you are applying for from the composition listed below in the UN Task Force Section.<\/p>\n<p>Please use the following <strong>code <\/strong>for the subject of the email:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>United Nations Task Force:<strong> [TF UN]<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You can find <a href=\"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/boe\/files\/2017\/10\/Task-Force-Handbook-1.pdf\">Task Force Handbook<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/boe\/files\/2017\/10\/IFMSA-Task-Force-for-United-Nation-Terms-of-Referances.pdf\">UN Task Force terms of reference<\/a> and the<a href=\"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/boe\/files\/2017\/10\/GS_2017AM_Task-Force-Report_United-Nations-TF.pdf\"> report from the previous term<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>United Nations Task Force<\/p>\n<p>The terms of Reference of the United Nations Task Force were originally adopted at August Meeting 2015 and is attached for a better overview of the work and original timeline of the Task Force. Based on the recommendation of the Task Force and EB 2016\/17 in August Meeting 2017, the current Task Force mandate was extended until the <span class=\"m_-5723219707380471198m_-1158032169087636420m_8146286936247367787gmail-aBn\"><span class=\"m_-5723219707380471198m_-1158032169087636420m_8146286936247367787gmail-aQJ\">30th of October 2017<\/span><\/span> and a call for new members for the new Task Force is hereby sent. The new Task Force has the opportunity to create a detailed work plan for the term 2017\/18 in collaboration with VPE and EB to ensure a proper implementation of its mandate.<\/p>\n<p>Also, please refer to the <a href=\"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/boe\/files\/2017\/10\/Task-Force-Handbook-1.pdf\">Handbook <\/a>for more information on IFMSA Task Forces and their work.<\/p>\n<p>Description<\/p>\n<p>The IFMSA have during the last decenniums gained an increased role in shaping global health through policy design, implementation, review and monitoring. Our members have expressed enhanced interest to contribute to this responsibility of the Federation. The Team of Officials\u2019 (TO) Liaisons Officers (LOs) have limited resources to fulfill this mandate and this Task Force thereby aims to ensure best possible outcome of our involvement in the United Nations. &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Tasks<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Mobilise and build capacity: mobilise the Federation\u2019s members and build their capacity in understanding and taking actions within international policy design, implementation, review and monitoring.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Establish the Federation\u2019s priorities: facilitate consultations and through the Federation\u2019s policies create UN processes position papers and strategies of IFMSA.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Policy design: influence UN policy design, implementation, monitoring and review based upon the created UN processes, IFMSA position papers and strategies.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Visibility: ensure positive visibility of IFMSA within relevant channels in the UN.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Policy implementation: ensure that IFMSA implements its UN policy commitments through internal activities and actions by the Federation.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Policy review and monitoring: review and monitor IFMSAs implementation of UN policy commitments<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>The work and activities related to the UN agency WHO are outside and not included in the UN TF<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Composition<\/p>\n<p>The Task Force will be composed of 5 members with the following tasks:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Supervisor: The supervision of the UN TF is coordinated by the IFMSA Vice-president for External Affairs (VPE) and relevant Liaison Officers (LOs). The VPE, after consulting the IFMSA Executive Board (EB), has the veto right in the UN TF decision making. The Supervisor must be included in all communication with external partners and has the mandate to approve and delegate official representation to relevant UN TF members after the approval of IFMSA EB.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>UNTF Coordinator: The UNTF coordinator is in charge of ensuring co-ordination of the UNTF in regards of execution of implementation, monitoring and review of the objectives related to that specific UN process. This includes communication with relevant UN partners in collaboration with the supervisor.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>At least 3 general members of the UNTF: To be assigned in accordance to relevant UN processes which need follow-up in and by IFMSA.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Timeline for the 2017\/2018 term<\/p>\n<p>The timeline below is annual and can be reviewed and updated without IFMSA GA approval by the IFMSA VPE and LOs.
