I am happy to share with you this wonderful event taking place in Belgium in September, organized by our Local Committee in Antwerp.<\/span><\/p>\n

I hope many of you will register and get to visit our beautiful country while experiencing some unique days of exchanging views, ideas and student-led reasearch with fellow healthcare-students form all over the world.<\/span><\/p>\n

AMSC – Under Pressure: Medicine in Extreme Situations<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

From the 13th to the 17th of September 2017, EMSA (European Medical Students’ Association) will organise the 11th Antwerp Medical Students’ Congress: \u201cUnder Pressure\u201d. This edition will be all about medicine in extreme conditions, with a focus on (natural) disasters and war.<\/span><\/p>\n

The conference is split into two parts. On the 13th<\/sup> and 14th<\/sup> of September we offer an opportunity to (bio)medical students from all over the world to present their research to colleague-students and win prizes in our competition.<\/span><\/p>\n

From the 15th<\/sup> until the 17th<\/sup> of September we are staging lectures and workshops given by internationally renowned experts and university teachers all working within the field of extreme medicine. The program includes lectures and presentations ranging from army medicine to disaster management and the treatment of shock. We will also provide our delegates with the opportunity to participate in interactive workshops and watch a live surgery.<\/span><\/p>\n

The academic program is completed by an extensive social program to network with fellow international students and get to know the historically important town of Antwerp. The program will include a guided tour of the city, a museum visit, pub crawl, cultural night and much more.<\/span><\/p>\n
