Dear Visitor,<\/span><\/p>\n

Addictions pose a great threat to both young and older generations, now more than ever. Our section\u2019s aim is to educate elementary and high school students about <\/span>Drug, Alcohol and Tobacco Abuse in a way that is both interactive and easily comprehensible to them.
\n<\/span>All members of BMSA, including our section, are students of the Faculty of Medicine of Semmelweis University from first to sixth year. Our Association has years of experience when it comes to preventive education, while our members take part in various programmes and events concerning health.
\n<\/span>Our new members attend one professional training and one presentation skill training every semester. Each of the three topics are presented by an experienced expert, ensuring our members\u2019 preparedness is up to date and of a high level, while they are also able to reach and effectively teach students in elementary or high school.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Goals of our classes are to make students fully understand the current drug- alcohol- and tobacco (ab)usage in Hungary, and why people turn to psychoactive substances. We are trying to make the think for themselves, thus reaching a long-term health oriented way of living. We are making efforts to explain the mechanism of action, short and long term effects of various substances in the most comprehensive way. Our aim is not to scare them baselessly, but to raise awareness about real dangers. We also give useful information about addiction.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We are more than happy to answer students\u2019 questions during or after the classes.
