Itt 1985. j\u00fanius 12-\u00e9n kapott diplom\u00e1t, majd a k\u00f6vetkez\u0151 \u00e9vben atl\u00e9ta szakedz\u0151i vizsg\u00e1t tett. 1985-1989 k\u00f6z\u00f6tt tudom\u00e1nyos munkat\u00e1rs volt a Budapesti Honv\u00e9d Sportegyes\u00fcletn\u00e9l, majd hasonl\u00f3 munkak\u00f6rben a Magyar Testnevel\u00e9si Egyetemen. 1991-1996 k\u00f6z\u00f6tt \u00f6szt\u00f6nd\u00edjas volt a jap\u00e1n Tsukuba Egyetemen, ahol PhD fokozatot szerzett, majd hazat\u00e9rve egyetemi docenss\u00e9 l\u00e9pett el\u0151. 1998-ban visszat\u00e9rt Jap\u00e1nba, ahol a Funabashiban m\u0171k\u00f6d\u0151 Toho Egyetem Biok\u00e9mia Tansz\u00e9k\u00e9n v\u00e9gzett posztdoktori munk\u00e1t Sataro Goto professzor mellett. 2001-ben a Semmelweis Egyetem Testnevel\u00e9si \u00e9s Sporttudom\u00e1nyi Kar\u00e1n habilit\u00e1ci\u00f3t szerzett, illetve tudom\u00e1nyos \u00e9s k\u00fclkapcsolati d\u00e9k\u00e1nhelyettesi megb\u00edz\u00e1st kapott, melyet 2012-ig l\u00e1tott el. 2003-ban egyetemi tan\u00e1ri kinevez\u00e9st kapott, majd 2004-ben \u00e1tvette a Testnevel\u00e9si \u00e9s Sporttudom\u00e1nyi Kar Sporttudom\u00e1nyi Int\u00e9zet\u00e9nek igazgat\u00e1s\u00e1t. Ugyanebben az \u00e9vben nyerte el az MTA doktora min\u0151s\u00edt\u00e9st. 2008-ban a Semmelweis Egyetem 5. sz. Sporttudom\u00e1nyi Doktori Iskol\u00e1j\u00e1nak vezet\u0151je lett. 2012-ben vette \u00e1t a Testnevel\u00e9si \u00e9s Sporttudom\u00e1nyi Kar vezet\u00e9s\u00e9t. Sz\u00e1mos alkalommal volt vend\u00e9gprofesszor k\u00fclf\u00f6ldi egyetemeken: Toho University \u2013 Jap\u00e1n (1997, 2000, 2003, 2005), Universit\u00e9 de Rennes \u2013 Franciaorsz\u00e1g (2007), Beijing Sport University \u2013 K\u00edna (2008), University of Texas \u2013 USA (2009), Juntendo University \u2013 Jap\u00e1n (2010), Waseda University \u2013 Jap\u00e1n (2012). Tudom\u00e1nyos munk\u00e1ss\u00e1ga els\u0151sorban a testedz\u00e9s biok\u00e9miai hat\u00e1saira ir\u00e1nyul: az oxidat\u00edv stressz, az \u00f6reged\u00e9s \u00e9s a testedz\u00e9s molekul\u00e1ris hat\u00e1sai, a hormesis jelens\u00e9g kapcsolata a testedz\u00e9ssel, a szirtuin feh\u00e9rj\u00e9k \u00e9lettani, biok\u00e9miai hat\u00e1smechanizmusa a testedz\u00e9s sor\u00e1n, a testedz\u00e9s \u00e9s az agym\u0171k\u00f6d\u00e9s kapcsolata, az oxidat\u00edv feh\u00e9rje s\u00e9r\u00fcl\u00e9sek m\u00e9r\u00e9se, a jelz\u0151rendszer \u00e9s az edz\u00e9s idegrendszerre gyakorolt hat\u00e1sai stb.
