Candidates may apply for the 1 semester with their demonstratorship terminating at the end of the 2nd semester of the present academic year.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Selection criteria<\/strong><br \/>\nOnly those may apply who<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>are active students enrolled in academic years II-V. at the Semmelweis University;<\/li>\n<li>show high moral and scholarly standards;<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0apply for demonstratorship in only one (1) subject;<\/li>\n<li>prove commitment and a responsible attitude towards participation in the teaching process;<\/li>\n<li>have previously proven excellence in the subject\/s of Anatomy, Histology and Embryology of the old curriculum or Macroscopic Anatomy and Microscopic Anatomy and Embryology of the new curriculum, and have successful final examination\/s from the subject\/s listed above.<\/li>\n<li>Students enrolled in a CV course from the above listed subjects may therefore not apply.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Role of departmental demonstrators<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/anatomia\/files\/2021\/01\/demonstr-sm-2008.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-28115 size-medium alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/anatomia\/files\/2021\/01\/demonstr-sm-2008-300x198.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"198\" srcset=\"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/anatomia\/files\/2021\/01\/demonstr-sm-2008-300x198.jpg 300w, https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/anatomia\/files\/2021\/01\/demonstr-sm-2008-1024x677.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/anatomia\/files\/2021\/01\/demonstr-sm-2008-768x508.jpg 768w, https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/anatomia\/files\/2021\/01\/demonstr-sm-2008-454x300.jpg 454w, https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/anatomia\/files\/2021\/01\/demonstr-sm-2008.jpg 1452w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Demonstrators are student instructors who work in association with Faculty Members in the Dissection Room or in the Histology Laboratory. They are supervised by a Faculty Member who continuously follows their progress to both provide help with advancing their knowledge, as well as exerting control over their teaching activities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Duties of departmental demonstrators<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Demonstrators are expected to be present in at least one practical lesson in a week (either in \u2019Macroscopical Anatomy\u2019 or \u2019Microscopical Anatomy and Embryology\u2019 subjects). Absences may not exceed 25%.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrators should possess strong communication skills and adequate English proficiency. They will have to be well prepared to help both with the practical and theoretical questions.<\/li>\n<li>Occasionally, Demonstrators have to be available for substituting the Faculty Member during the class(es) they attend.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Succesful Applicants, accepted for 1 semester (5 months) will earn 1 credit. Stipends will be paid to the account of selected Applicants in one sum following the receipt of a positive assessment by the Head of Department in the end of the demonstrator period.<br \/>\nFurther Applicants, without earning a stipend, may also be selected by the Department to act as Demonstrators.
