T\u0151r- \u00e9s p\u00e1rbajt\u0151rv\u00edv\u00e1sban egyar\u00e1nt versenyzett, 1967-t\u0151l 1979-ig mindk\u00e9t fegyvernemben magyar v\u00e1logatott volt, de kiemelked\u0151 eredm\u00e9nyeket p\u00e1rbajt\u0151rv\u00edv\u00e1sban \u00e9rt el. H\u00e1rom olimpi\u00e1n vett r\u00e9szt, ahol \u00f6sszesen egy egy\u00e9ni \u00e9s k\u00e9t csapat olimpiai bajnoki c\u00edmet nyert. 1968-ban Mexik\u00f3ban p\u00e1rbajt\u0151r csapatban arany\u00e9rmet szerzett, 1972-ben M\u00fcnchenben dupl\u00e1zott: p\u00e1rbajt\u0151r egy\u00e9niben \u00e9s csapatban is olimpiai bajnoki c\u00edmet szerzett. Ebben az \u00e9vben, 1972-ben az \u00e9v v\u00edv\u00f3j\u00e1nak v\u00e1lasztott\u00e1k. M\u00e9g versenyz\u0151 kor\u00e1ban, 1968-ban szerezte meg orvosi oklevel\u00e9t a Budapesti Orvostudom\u00e1nyi Egyetemen, majd seb\u00e9sz szakorvosi vizsg\u00e1t tett. P\u00e1ly\u00e1j\u00e1t a M\u00c1V K\u00f3rh\u00e1z k\u00f3rboncnokak\u00e9nt \u00e9s alorvosak\u00e9nt kezdte, majd 1974-t\u0151l r\u00e1kkutat\u00f3 seb\u00e9sz szakorvos \u00e9s klinikai adjunktus lett. Az akt\u00edv sportol\u00e1st 1980-ban fejezte be. Visszavonul\u00e1sa ut\u00e1n sok\u00e1ig a M\u00c1V K\u00f3rh\u00e1zban dolgozott, majd r\u00e1kkutat\u00f3 programban vett r\u00e9szt, illetve az amerikai Egyes\u00fclt Virginia R\u00e1kkutat\u00f3 Int\u00e9zet vend\u00e9gkutat\u00f3ja volt. 1989-t\u0151l 1993-ig a Magyar V\u00edv\u00f3sz\u00f6vets\u00e9g eln\u00f6ks\u00e9gi tagja volt. Jelent\u0151s eredm\u00e9nyeket \u00e9rt el a daganatseb\u00e9szetben. 1994-t\u0151l egy amerikai alap\u00edtv\u00e1ny r\u00e1kkutat\u00f3 int\u00e9zet\u00e9nek orvos-igazgat\u00f3ja lett. 2001-t\u0151l a BVSC \u00e9s a v\u00e1logatott p\u00e1rbajt\u0151r szak\u00e1g\u00e1nak fegyvernemi menedzsere lett. 2011-t\u0151l a Halhatatlan Magyar Sportol\u00f3k Egyes\u00fclet\u00e9nek eln\u00f6ks\u00e9gi tagja lett.
