A II. vil\u00e1gh\u00e1bor\u00fa ut\u00e1n jelent\u0151s szerepet j\u00e1tszott a magyar v\u00edv\u00f3sport \u00fajj\u00e1szervez\u00e9s\u00e9ben, a magyar v\u00edv\u00f3k londoni olimpiai szerepl\u00e9s\u00e9nek el\u0151k\u00e9sz\u00edt\u00e9s\u00e9ben. Dr. Gombos S\u00e1ndor Budapesten hunyt el, a Farkasr\u00e9ti Temet\u0151ben nyugszik.
