KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE COMBINED!<\/strong><\/h3>\n
\nThe event, which was launched in 2019 to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the founding of Semmelweis University, has become a tradition and a vibrant opening to every academic year. Participants can choose from a wide range of professional and scientific lectures, join discussions on the present and future of medical and health sciences training and the possibilities for the development of healthcare, meet well-known athletes and musicians, and take part in interactive programmes related to a healthy lifestyle.<\/strong><\/h6>\n

This year marks the seventh time that Semmelweis Summer University will be held.<\/span><\/h6>\n

6th Summer University<\/h5>\n
Previously, the duration of our event has been 2 days, but this year it has been extended by an extra day, in which we are working in collaboration with our Green University Project team. We intend to put more emphasis on sustainability and environmental awareness, as well as on developing a healthy lifestyle and a balance between physical and mental well-being. Therefore, on this day students will have the opportunity to attend lectures on the subjects described above.<\/h6>\n
There has also been a slight change of venue, with the Hungarian program still taking place at the Basic Medical Science Center (EOK) and the international program at the NET-building in Nagyv\u00e1rad Square.<\/h6>\n

The course is available in the Neptun system as a separate optional course, for which registration will start on 21 August 2024 at 10:00 am. The deadline for registration is 27 August at 23:59. Students can earn 1 credit per day for their participation, so those who attend all three days can earn 3 credit points.<\/strong><\/h6>\n

To earn the respective credit points, students must register for the course and attend the event in person. Attendance will be verified by barcode scanning also this year. The Hungarian course is only open to active students enrolled in Semmelweis University’s Hungarian courses, while the international course is only available to students enrolled in the German and English language programs of the University.<\/h6>\n
