Researchers and affected PhD students are continuously monitoring the domestic and international situation related to the novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) and the related literature, and are collecting data in various research projects to learn more about the virus\u2019s mechanism and its spread geographically and in time. The university will also use the donation made by Katinka Hossz\u00fa to fund epidemiological analysis of the coronavirus.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI wanted to help in some way in the current situation, so I asked rector Dr. B\u00e9la Merkely, who is also our team physician, what was the best way. Based on his recommendation, the Iron team (M\u00e1t\u00e9 Gelencs\u00e9r, Tam\u00e1s Bath\u00e1zi and myself) have donated HUF 1.5 million for coronavirus-related research to the Semmelweis University Foundation,\u201d Hossz\u00fa wrote in a Facebook post, calling on others as well to do the same if they can.<\/p>\n<div class=\"keretes w-100\">If you wish to support the Semmelweis University Foundation, you can make a bank transfer to the 11708001-20361060 bank account number.
