  1. Development and applications of single molecule methods. Single molecule manipulation with laser tweezers and atomic force microscopy. Space- and time-synchronized single molecule mechanical and fluorescence measurements. Combination of total internal reflection fluorescence and AFM. Development and adaptation of force-feedback laser tweezers for biomolecular systems.
  2. Mechanisms of motor protein function, muscle contraction and contraction regulation. Investigation of actomyosin interaction by in vitro motility test. AFM morphology and mechanical stability of myosin molecules and thick filaments.
  3. Nanomechanics of biopolymers. Molecular biophysics of cytoskeletal and extracellular filamentous proteins. Molecular biophysics of titin giant muscle protein.
