The latest list of university ranking has been published by the Center for World University Rankings (CWUR), which contains six Hungarian universities, including Semmelweis University.

The list is drawn up based on the quality of education, the excellence of staff, the employment rate of graduate students, the number of publications, citation index and the number of patents. The quality of education is measured on the basis of the awards former students have obtained and the rating of student employment is based on the number of higher positions occupied at the world’s leading companies.

The first three places of the list, just like last year, were taken by Harvard, Stanford and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology respectively.

The six Hungarian Universities that are among the best thousand are Eötvös Loránd University ranking 458th, Semmelweis University ranking 617th, University of Debrecen ranking 667th, University of Szeged ranking 731st, Budapest University of Technology and Economics ranking 819th and the University of Pécs ranking 892nd.
