Based on the instruction of the Rector, distant education will be launched at Semmelweis University on 23rd March 2020. A schedule using Central European Time will apply to all faculties and years.

The educational departments will have prepared their curriculum by 6 pm on 20th March 2020 that will be published on their own website and in the university’s e-learning system. An information leaflet for academic staff and students on distant education was published by Dr. Péter Hermann, Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs and Dr. Levente Kiss, Director of the Centre of Educational Development, Methodology and Management.

According to the Rector’s instruction, distant education will be launched at Semmelweis University on 23rd March 2020. The original schedule will apply to all faculties and years in Central European Time. It is the responsibility of the educational departments to ensure that all the remaining educational material of the curriculum and planned exams that can be performed via distant learning are completed. Mid-term exams, tests and theses defenses will be performed using the “Zoom” platform that will gradually be integrated into the university’s e-learning system. Practical classes that cannot be taught online will have to be completed after the emergency situation has been revoked.
