23 Swedish nurses and medical scribes visited Semmelweis University during their study tour in Budapest.

The delegation was received by Dr. Marcel Pop, Director of International Relations, who gave a detailed presentation on the university, highlighting the educational system, international collaborations and the exclusive events of the anniversary year. The presentation was followed by a Q&A session touching on topics, such as the number of Swedish students, the ratio of students dropping out and nursing courses. Dr. Marcel Pop said that there are about 50 Swedish students enrolled at the university every year, spoke about the ratio of students successfully completing the year and the academic programmes of the Faculty of Health Sciences. The medical programme was also discussed in detail, explaining the system of the 6-year-long single cycle programme and the possibilities of resident training and doctoral school. Finally the reform of the curriculum and practice driven education at the university were explained to the participants.
