The organizing committee of NorWHO cordially request the honor of your presence at the 2018 annual NorWHO conference, to be held in the UN-City, Copenhagen / Denmark on the week of August 20th-24th, 2018

The details of this invitation are as follows:

Event description: NorWHO is an IFMSA sub-regional training program that gathers students in medicine, public health, and other fields from major universities across the world. Each year the conference focuses on a different topic. The theme for the 2018 conference is: Access to essential medicines – how can we ensure global equality?

The conference will focus on improving the global accessibility of essential medicines. This includes discussing the affordability of medicine, ensuring reasonable prices and evidence-based information to the public. The participants will take on roles of delegates from different countries, pharmaceutical companies or NGOs, and simulate a World Health Assembly conference, to discuss possible solutions for the topic. The conference is being held in the UN-city (European regional headquarters of the UN), which provides our participants with an authentic and inspiring setting.

During the conference, we will also be having experts within the field of access to essential medicine as speakers, and some of the speakers are as follows:
Magrethe Vestager, who is currently serving as the European Commissioner for competition.

Hans Hogerzeil, who is a former Director for Essential Medicines and Pharmaceutical Policies for the WHO.

Flemming Konradsen, who is currently the director for the Copenhagen School of Global Health.
Dr. Tedros Adhanom, who is the Director-General of WHO – he will be providing us with a video message
